LogiBio is a sister company of
BioUrja Trading developing ethanol logistics
solutions to add value and improve efficiency.
LogiBio was established in 2006 and purchased a unit
train ethanol handling facility in Albany, New York,
in 2007. This facility was later sold to Buckeye
Partners in 2008.
In 2008, LogiBio established
three new ethanol distribution terminals:
LogiBio Birmingham – CSX
served transloading facility supplying the
Birmingham and Montgomery, Alabama markets. The
facility is located at 3700 14th Avenue North,
Birmingham, Alabama.
LogiBio Scranton – Canadian
Pacific and Norfolk Southern served transloading
facility supplying the Scranton and Northumberland
Pennsylvania markets. The facility is located at 428
York Avenue, Duryea, Pennsylvania.
LogiBio Lancaster – Norfolk
Southern served terminal supplying the Mechanicsburg
and Montello/Sinking Springs markets in
Pennsylvania. The facility is located at 55 Maibach
Lane, Mt Joy, Pennsylvania.
LogiBio is currently pursuing
new ethanol distribution sites in other markets with
new sites planned for San Antonio, Texas;
Albuquerque, New Mexico; Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
